When I think of paper towel dispensers, what comes to mind are those units you find in public bathrooms that pretty much everybody is familiar with nowadays. When I came across these automatic paper towel dispensers made for your home I was pretty blown away at the functionality and look of it, and knew it was something I had to throw onto the site because of its uniqueness.
We will take a look at some of the different models they make and some of the amazing features that make those public bathroom ones seem obsolete! Let's dive right in and see what these bad boys can do and what they're all about.
Features, Construction, Etc.:
These are very visually pleasing and usually come in some type of polished metal finish, although I have seen silver, white, and black ones as well, since those are pretty much the standard colors that go with just about any decor. What really blew me away about some of these units was the fact that they not only dispense the paper towels, but if you do not use a paper towel it will pull it back into the machine! So in essence, there is never any wasted paper towels and let's face it, it is just a really cool item to have in your house.
How They Work:
- STEP 1: Fill the dispenser with paper towels, shop towels, or any other type of paper towel material of your choice.
- STEP 2: Complete the installation process according to the manufacturer's recommendations, since every unit is a little bit different.
- STEP 3: Wave or place your hand near the sensor area to dispense the paper towel.
- STEP 4: Remove the paper towel and use what you need. If any is left, the machine will automatically suck it back up into the dispenser.
Price, Functionality, Etc.:
These automatic paper towel dispensers really range quite a bit in price and for the majority of the products I would say that they were anywhere in the price range from about $40 all the way up to $130. Some of the higher-end units we looked at on this particular page or more around the $100 range and had a lot better reviews than some of the lower-priced ones. All these need are a power supply and will ask to take a little bit of planning and preparation work on your part because they usually mount underneath the cabinet.
These would make a great addition to any home or shop and would really be a conversation piece for any guests you happen to be entertaining because chances are very few people know that these types of paper towel dispensers even exist, and who would've thought it would look so good in the process.
