I realized that this hotdog steamer/bun warmer is more of a concession stand type of deal and maybe something you would see if you're at a ballgame or something like that but it would easily fit inside your kitchen and would come in handy for get-togethers at your house, so I figured it would fit nicely.
Obviously, this can serve a tremendous amount of hot dogs, probably more than one family could ever eat but it just looks so cool and personally, I've wanted one for really long time.
Stats, Features, Etc.:
This hotdog cooker uses steam to cook the hot dogs see will have to fill the bottom reservoir with water, roughly a gallon in order to steam your dogs. It has a total capacity to store 42 buns and roughly 100 hot dogs. It's pretty basic in design, having an on/off switch, a heat control dial and a drain valve.
It has enough room to stack different types of "dogs" to so you could actually do hotdogs, bratwurst, sausages, whatever. Even with it being able to hold so many hot dogs and buns, it has a very small footprint which measures roughly 16" x 14", plenty of room for a countertop... in the kitchen maybe?
How It Works:
- STEP 1: Plug the machine in to an electrical outlet
- STEP 2: Fill bottom reservoir with water
- STEP 3: Turn the power button on
- STEP 4: Set the heat dial all the way up to "high"
- STEP 5: Start stacking hot dogs and allow unit to warm up
Other Useful Information:
This was more of a commercial type of hotdog machine and was on the higher end of the price spectrum compared to smaller, at home type units that really didn't do this machine justice. With that said, for the money it is a good buy and probably something that will last you several years.
I've always wanted one of these in my house in I'm sure after sharing this post there will be some of you out there that may entertain the idea yourselves. Let me know what you think in the comments below, I always love hearing from you.
